If you would like to register for a program at one of AEC's
campuses, please fill out the
following registration form and then press the submit button
at the bottom of the form. Our main office
in United States will receive this form and begin processing
your information and setting up your program and lodging.
You will be contacted within three working days to confirm
receipt of your information and with any questions that we
might have concerning your program. You will also receive
all prices and totals for your selected program as well as
instructions on how to make the required deposit to secure
your slot at our school.
Please be as specific as you can while filling out this form, this
will allow us to create a program that best matches your need.
I f you have any medical problems, special dietary needs or
host family requirements, please let us know as much as you
can. If you will be attending more than one campus, please
let us know each start date as well as program and lodging
options if they are different. This form is only to register
for a program at AEC, if you want to request further information
about our different options, please contact us via e-mail.
For individuals and non chaperoned groups AEC will refund
the full amount of the deposit when notified 8 weeks prior
to the start of the above specified program. From 8 weeks
to 4 weeks 50% will be refunded and the last 4 weeks there
is NO refund of the deposit. For larger chaperoned groups
the cancellation policy will be determined on a case by case
basis. Individuals who have arrived in Costa Rica & begun their program will receive no refund of their balance. The balance payments not yet used when requesting a refund will be kept for two years and credited towards any AEC program you choose to rejoin.
AIRPORT PICKUP INFORMATION
Students choosing the airport pickup or attending the Welcoming program will be picked up at the airport (SJO) in San Jose when they arrive in Costa Rica. You will be transported to the Student Guesthouse near the airport where you will stay the night. The next morning you will be served a continental breakfast and you will be taken to the pickup point or bus terminal for first campus on your schedule.
After breakfast, you will be taken to the public bus depot in San Jose and have your fare paid. Our staff will make arrangements for a member of your host family to meet you in Turrialba and take you to their home. The cost of this service is $70 for 1 person, $60 for two persons, & $50 for three or more.
FOR DOMINICAL & ARENAL:
After breakfast you will be taken to the pickup point where at 8:30am a private van service will arrive
to take you directly to the Dominical school or near the beach apartment/cabinas or to La Fortuna.
An AEC representative will greet students at the Dominical campus on Sunday's only from 3 p.m. to 6 pm to show you to the beach apartments or a host family representative will escort you to your new home. In La Fortuna you will be met by a member of your host family. The cost for this service is $110 for 1 person, and $100 each for two or more persons.
For groups of more than three persons, contact your AEC coordinators, as special transportation
arrangements can often be made.
