What is the EXPLORNATURA ADVENTURE POINT SYSTEM?

The  Explornatura  Adventure  Point  system  was  developed  to  provide  AEC  students  with  an  easy,  hassle-free  way  to  plan  and  budget  your  time  in  Costa  Rica.   By  receiving  the  Catalog  before  attending  your  AEC  Spanish  Language  program  you  are  able  to  better  plan  your  travels  in  CostaRica  according  to  your  budget  and  time  available.    

All  products  offered  in  the  Explornatura  Adventure  Catalog  are  listed  at  a  discounted  price  to  provide  a  benefit  for  AEC  studens  and  to  encourage  participation  in  the  Explornatura  Adventure  Point  System.   

The  point  system  is  flexible  in  that  you  can  use  your  points  to  purchase  products  from  the  Explornatura  Adventure  Catalog  anytie  after  activating  your  points  and  anywhere  in  Costa  Rica.   If  you  prefer  to  use  all  of  your  points  to  travel  after  your  studies  are  over,  you  can.   If  you  prefer  to  do  one  or  two  day  tours  per  week,  you  can.   The  choice  is  up  to  you!  

If  you  end  your  stay  in  Costa  Rica  and  still  have  points  left-over,  you  will  receive  a  Credit  Voucher  that  allows  you  to  use  your  points  within  one  year  or  transfer  them  to  someone  else  to  use  wthin  one  year.    

By  purchasing  Adventure  Points,  you  don't  have  to  worry  about  bringing  a  lot  of  cash  with  you  for  your  tours.   This  will  make  budgeting  and  traveling  easier  and  less  stressful.

• PLANNING  –  You  can  plan  your  budget  and  travels  before  you  come  to  Costa  Rica  with  your  points  catalog  but  still  have  the  ability  to  chane  your  plans  once  you  are  in  Costa  Rica.  

• CASHLESS  TRAVEL  –  You  do  not  have  to  worry  about  carrying  or  losing  large  
amounts  of  money.  

• TRANSFERRABLE  –  You  can  transfer  to  someone  else  or  use  your  unused  points   up  to  ONE  YEAR  after  your  trip.  

• EASY  –  Just  buy  your  points  and  then  sign  up  for  the  product  that  you  want.

How  do  you  PURCHASE  your  Explornatura  Adventure  Points?

In  order  for  you  to  take  full  advantage  of  the  Explornatura  Adventure  Point  system,  we  require  that  points  must  be  purchased  through  your  School  Sales  Representative  at  the  same  time  that  you  are  purchasing  you  language  program.   If  you  do  not  purchase  your  points  at  this  time,  you  will  NOT  be  able  to  participate  in  the  Explornatura  Adventure  Point  System  and  will  have  to  pay  the  REGULAR  PRICES  for  you  tours  and  services  in  Costa  Rica.    

For  every  week  of  Spanish  classes  you  purchase  at  the  AEC  Language  Institute,  you  will  be  awarded  50  Explornatura  Adventure  Points  to  use  however  and  whenever  you  choose.   These  50  points  are  awarded  to  EVERY  student,  regardless  of  whether  you  choose  to  purchase  more  points  or  not.

Adventure  points  can  ONLY  be  purchased  in  75  point  increments.   
There  is  no  limit  on  the  amount  of  Adventure  Points  that  you  can  purchase.  

 
A  10%  deposit  on  your  Adventure  Points  is  required  when  they  are  purchased  from  your  School  Sales  Representative.   On  your  first  day  of  Spanish  lessons  you  must  ACTIVATE  your  points  by  paying  the  balance  to  the  Explornatura  Representative  in  your  school.    
Upon  activating  your  points  you  will  receive  your  EXPLORNATURA  ADVENTURE  PASSPORT  which  is  where  we  will  keep  track  of  your  poits  and  how  you  use  them  during  your  time  in  Costa  Rica.   You  cannot  use  your  Adventure  Points  without  your  Passport.    

TRAVELING  WITH  YOUR  FAMILY

If  you  are  traveling  to  Costa  Rica  with  your  family  you  will  receive  50  Adventure  Points  for  every  week  that  you  purchase  per  fmily  member  enrolled  in  the  school.   Families  have  the  option  to  purchase  Adventure  Points  as  a  group  and  will  receive  one  EXPLORNATURA  ADVENTURE  PASSPORT  for  you  whole  family.   Any  products  purchased  by  your  family  with  Adventure  Points  will  be  recorded  in  your  family's  passport.

How  does  your  Explornatura  Adventure  Passport  work?

When  you  activate  your  points  with  one  of  our  knowledgeable  Explornatura  representatives,  you  receive  your  passport  with  all  of  the  information  you  need  about  your  points  and  how  to  use  them.   Your  first  Adventure  Passport  is  provided  to  you,  if  you  lose  it  the  cost  to  replace  it  is  15  points.    

To  use  your  points  all  you  have  to  do  is  sign  up  with  an  Explornatura  Representative  for  whatever  product  you  want.   Once  you  have  signed  up,  your  purchase  will  be  logged  and  stamped  in  your  passport  so  that  you  can  keep  track  of  the  points  that  you  have  left.   It  is  that  simple!   

For  Explornatura  it  is  very  important  that  you  have  the  chance  to  use  ALL  of  your  Adventure  Points.   In  order  to  facilitate  this,  we  have  included  in  the  Explornatura  Adventure  Catalog  items  such  as  t-shirts,  coffee,  and  picture  CDs  that  have  a  small  point  value  so  you  can  use  your  points  in  smaller  denominations.   We  also  have  the  Explornatura  Adventure  Points  CREDIT  VOUCHER  that  allows  you  to  transfer  your  points  to  someone  else  or  use  hem  yourself  within  one  year.   Your  Explornatura  Representative  can  fill  out  your  Credit  Voucher  located  on  the  last  page  of  your  Passport  when  you  finish  yur  stay  in  Costa  Rica  and  with  that  voucher  you  will  be  able  to  use  those  points  in  the  future.
